Bestec GmbH develops and manufactures laser and vacuum systems for research in surface analysis.
All the innovative solutions are made to customer specifications.
Bestec was established in 1990 out of a part of the former Academy of Sciences and today employs about
25 people. The team develops very high-tech systems for applications in science, precision engineering,
optics and electronics. Due to the immediate vicinity of scientific institutes and research centres, natural
science departments of Humboldt University in Berlin und start-up companies, there have excellent
opportunities for cooperation and innovation.

Brass manifolds from
SERTO in use
The SERTO brass manifolds are used in combination with SERTO brass unions and SERTO fine regulating
valves in the cooling systems of laser and vacuum equipment. During start-up procedures of these special
units, high tension is created, which leads to the sputter source heating up. In order to control the heat
exchange, the cooling medium is conducted purposefully via the manifolds.
Bestec uses and enjoys the option of purchasing major components for their cooling systems from a
distributor. The quality and product selection offered by SERTO has been highly appreciated for many years.
By using a variant configurator in the manufacture of the manifolds, SERTO guarantees the uniqueness of
the manifolds as required by Bestec.
