State-of-the-art systems engineering for cleaning and deburring of injection nozzles
Gluth GmbH is a medium-sized company and long-term partner of industry. Today, they employ 100 persons
and produce linear assembly equipment, complex manufacturing systems and automated guided vehicle
systems, etc. In addition to the automotive industry, building technology and medical technology, the focus is
on special equipment for injection technology. Key customers are, for example, Bosch and BMW.
APPLICATION
EXMAR products: Cutting ring and NC compression ferrule unions, as well as hose fittings, mainly
in the sizes 08, 10, 12 and 15mm
Application: High-pressure cleaning and deburring systems for diesel injection valves for automotive
industry
PARAMETERS
Medium: Demineralised water and a 50% citric acid (used in production of photovoltaic compo-
nents, cleaning C-Si cells)
Pressure: max. 160 bar
Temperature: from 15°C to 40°C
Ingot gluing station
In manufacturing solar cells, the cleanliness (extreme purity) of the components is essential. Rotary cleaning
brushes are wetted with demineralised water and citric acid and the ingots are cleaned and dried with an air
jet. The cleaning fluids are dosed via dosing pumps at a pressure of 6 bar. The entire system is designed in
stainless steel and polypropylene. In this case, the advantage of the compression ferrule union is that the
compression ferrule is soft and won’t rust. An additional benefit is that the compression ferrule is applied
malleably to the tube, so there is no notching in the material like with a cutting ring and no contamination of
the cleaning media.
